Explanation

Frozen Pizza Company contacted our consulting firm, to implement a wireless solution throughout their product warehouse. During the implementation, we ran into multiple road blocks. One of which was their -20 degrees Fahrenheit 100,000ft2 freezer. All of the equipment that we were going to implement was rated down to -4 degrees Fahrenheit. In order to compensate for the cold, we researched a heated NEMA enclosure for the access points. This would enable the access point to operate in the -20 degree temperatures.

After speaking with the client, they didn't want to budget for the NEMA enclosure. We proceeded to implemented our second solution which consisted of implementing the access points in an above -4 degree area, and punching holes into the insolated wall. We would then mount the antennas inside of the freezer. It was determined that there were no places inside the freezer below 80% signal strength.
